We are looking for a Business Support Specialist to join our IT team in Mississauga.

 

SUMMARY

The Business Support Specialist serves as a critical business support resource and functional expert to own business processes supported in e-Emphasys and evolve new functionalities according with business demand. In this role, you will collaborate with various stakeholders to gather requirements, analyze business processes, manage master data and assist in the development of solutions that enhance operational efficiency. You will play a crucial role in bridging the gap between business needs and technical solutions. .

 

Expected Salary range (gross/annual)    

60K to 70K per year

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Act as the bridge between business and technology by working with the business stakeholder 
    to gather and document business requirements for changes or enhancements needed 
  • Identifying data quality issues, resolving inconsistencies, and performing regular updates to 
    Master Data to ensure a "single source of truth" for the organization.
  • Work with Finance, Sales, After-Sales teams to analyze current business processes and identify 
    areas for improvement in the solution
  • Support the development and implementation of business solutions and technologies with the 
    broader IT team and vendor.
  • Create detailed documentation including user stories, process flows, and functional 
    specifications as needed
  • OEM Data Integration: Manage the end-to-end process for non-automated, data uploads from 
    Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM). You will ensure real-time accuracy and 
    synchronization between vendor data and our internal systems.
  • Participate in user acceptance testing (UAT) and provide support during the rollout of new 
    systems and updates
  • Monitor and analyze system performance and user feedback to recommend enhancements
  • Participate in functional side of ERP versioning. Partner with both IT and Business units to plan, 
    test, and execute upgrades to ensure the ERP remains current 
  • Provide continuous oversight and functional administration of the new CRM module. You will 
    ensure the configuration is optimized to support the sales pipeline and customer lifecycle.
  • Performs other duties as assigned;

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Basic understanding of data management
  • Familiarity with project management and collaboration tools such as JIRA
  • Industry experience is preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop new skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships across 
    departments
  • Ability to translate "Business Speak" into technical configuration and vice-versa

 

EDUCATION/TRAINING:

  • Post-secondary education or training in Information Systems or Business Administration.
  • Business Analysis or equivalent work experience is helpful.
