SUMMARY

The Parts Specialist is responsible for assisting Technicians with parts ordering, order entry and procurement, order tracking and Customer Service for all warranty and returns-related inquiries.

As well as being responsible for the shipping and receiving of all goods in the warehouse. He or she will have to communicate all shipment details to consignee and ensure most accuracy with respect to everything that is shipped/received. At all times, the candidate must ensure the safety and housekeeping of the warehouse and abide by all safety rules and regulations 

 Expected Salary range (gross/annual)    

$55k-$65k

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES : Parts Specialist

  • Prompt and accurate processing of parts orders;
  • High level of customer service on the Parts counter;
  • Physical inventory accuracy and daily cycle counts;
  • Answering phone with a high level of service and urgency;
  • Prompt ordering from vendors to fulfill customer orders;
  • Timely processing of returns and credits;
  • Proactive customer contact and telemarketing;
  • Seek out opportunities to increase part sales;
  • Backorder tracking and recovery;
  • Effective inventory management;
  • Ensuring a high level of support to the Parts and Service Department;
  • Timely completion of duties as outlined by the Parts Manager;
  • Must participate in the on-call rotation;

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES : Shipper/Receiver

 

  • Prepare all shipments and clearly identifies all items; for a good delivery to the receiver
  • Confirms accuracy and packages shipments in a way to insure the safe and intact arrival to 
    destination.
  • Prepare Carrier Bill of Ladings (BOLs) as required; for the carriers to come and pick up the 
    packages.
  • Prepare shipping and customs documents in order to send packages with the right 
    information.
  • Contacts & arranges for carrier pick-ups so that the packages are sent on time.
  • Ensure availability and storage of warehouse & shipping supplies to update the inventory.
  • Locating missing parts required for shipment in order to easily find the parts and follow up.
  • Receives all goods & shipments for Warehouse and store them when needed and distribute 
    internally.
  • Inspects and confirms all shipments for damages or overages & shortages; inspect them, file 
    claims for damaged or missing shipments.
  • Releases backorders (all customer orders);
  • Record-keeping; keeps all the information, if needed
  • Delivers shipment to consignee;
  • Stocks parts to shelves when time permits; organized the branch, to easily find missing 
    information
  • Reporting, tracing and claiming all shortages to carriers or vendors; to follow up

 

CORE COMPETENCIES:

  • Has experience in a similar role with an aptitude for customer service and sales;
  • Knowledge of the heavy equipment industry or a related industry is an asset;
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft computer programs;
  • Must have the ability to multi-task;
  • Organize and prioritize work in a fast paced environment;
  • Knowledge of SAP is an asset.

 

EDUCATION/TRAINING:

  • Post-secondary diploma and/or relevant work experience.
