We are hiring 2 (two) Operations Efficiency Specialists, one for Eastern Canada and one for Western Canada. NORS Construction Equipment Canada runs 36 branches that sell, service and support construction equipment. Our operations efficiency team helps every branch work smarter, faster and more profitably. Both roles report to our regional manager, operations efficiency.

 

Number of Open Positions: 2

Location(s): Acheson, AB (to support Western Canada) and Mississauga, ON (to support Eastern Canada)

Travel: 25% to 50%

Language: English required; French preferred/asset

What's the challenge?

  • Analyze branch performance (service, parts, labour efficiency, margins, opex) and turn findings into clear action plans.
  • Visit branches regularly to observe operations, run improvement sessions and follow up on results.
  • Coach branch, parts and service managers to adopt new processes, tools and habits.
  • Lead A3 and continuous improvement projects from problem to measurable result.
  • Handle resistance with tact, de-escalate tension and escalate issues to leadership when needed.
  • Report progress and savings to our regional manager and leadership team.

What do we expect from you?

Experience:

  • Degree in engineering, math, business analytics or a related field & Lean expertise.
  • 2 to 5 years in operations improvement, analytics, consulting or a multi-site business.
  • Advanced Excel (Power Query, pivots, modeling) and experience with Power BI or similar.
  • Proven ability to coach and influence people without direct authority.
  • High energy, drive and a strong results focus.
  • You welcome feedback and coaching, and act on it quickly.
  • You work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel.

 

Assets:

  • Bilingual in English and French.
  • Lean or Six Sigma Certification.
  • Background in psychology, change management or negotiation.
  • Experience in equipment dealers, logistics or manufacturing.
